Happy Birthday to Mom Schuster!!!!!! She tells me that she's 24 today ... apparently,
at that age, your math isn't so good, no more.
Carol and I just returned from a FANTASTIC weekend up in Hanover, NH celebrating
the marriage of two of our closest friends - John Greco and Suzanne Chudd! The
weather was gorgeous and the wedding, itself, was just such a wonderful affair. Not
only was it great to see those two finally tie the knot, but it was truly fun to see all sorts
of Tuckies re-unite back up at Dartmouth and rekindle old friendships. It's hard to
believe that it's already been five years since we all disappeared into the abyss that is
the real world.
On a personal level, it was really nice for me to be able to bring Carol back to the
college and have her enjoy it so much, as well. She had a great bike ride with Lisa
Cloitre on Saturday morning and got to see the Upper Valley in all of its summer glory.
Needless to say, it was tough to go back to the noise, pollution, and asphalt of the
city this morning. <sigh>.
Still, it was an exceptional wedding and showed Carol and I a glimpse of what
September may be like. In fact, the last few weddings that we've attended have really
shown us how some of the personalities of our friends and family come out during
these gatherings! From the Tuckies this weekend, to the Saulniers at Tom's
wedding, to the crazy Wilson clan at Steve's wedding last April ... throw in a little
Dickinson, a couple of Schusters, spice with a pinch of Delorey ... and our party in
September is shaping up to be a raucous affair! I can't wait to see the final party -
especially the dance-off between Christina and Jeff ... oh yes, THAT should be fun!
I've also been informed that I don't blog often enough. For some reason people are
actually reading these entries. To which I can only remark - "are you daft?" GO
OUTSIDE!!! Enjoy the nice weather! Find a good book to read! Watch some old
re-runs of "Wings". (borrow Jeff's copy, if you must). Start a hobby - like collecting
toenail clippings in the shape of Madagascar ... but why are you reading my blog?
... I'll write again soon ...
